In teaching regular programs for marketing executives, I am still surprised to find how few of them are using social networks (when I mean “using” it’s not only being “present“).
These are preparation plans for groups of people in charge of driving the digital headquarter of their companies.
The last session addressed the common needs for a real built-in business digital strategy.
Many companies have this wonderful aim to develop web-based services.
For some the approach is to stand out from their competition with a different service or an innovative product.
For some others, the issue is about starting a new economy model, that will help them grapple the benefits of the new marketing tools.
And for many others, now that they’ve finally perceived the importance of online business solutions they feel naked in front of the social revolution.
Thus, all of them know they have to make a significant breakthrough that will help them move forward.
Unfortunately very few businesses make the leap.
Don’t you see your stagnant industry is fading fast ?
The social world gives us that dimension to realize something stronger than what we’ve already achieved.
But it may be a controversial topic for many companies while the problem is getting worse, essentially for brands as the amount of content created by customers (or the user generated content) is increasing at a super pace.
At the core of the matter is the subject of engagement.
It raises questions, probably doubts and many debates :
- will we be able to manage all that amount of conversations related to the multi topics we follow?
- are we too much influenced by our competitors achievements?
- are we really aspired by the social media tube or is it just an … illusion?
Without any doubts, more and more companies have the will to shape and authenticate their social platform and not only maintain a vague online network.
In the near future, wether you’re running a global brand or a small business, manufacturing will be centered on your corporate website more than ever.
With no armed social strategy you cannot go anywhere
As someone who has taken a deep dive in your industry to fulfill what you always wanted the most, it’s time to stop holding yourself back and start unleashing your savoir-faire on the digital.
You don’t have to be confused or disturbed by anything else but focusing on your purpose and measure what you’ve reached.
Your potential community is spending an enormous amount of time on the internet from everywhere, through so many devices. Your main accomplishments from using a social strategy include :
- developing higher awareness of the company,
- staying engaged with customers,
- identifying and attracting new ones.
Do remember that you can fit your strategy and segment your customers more easily than ever before !

For all those points, there’s a simple overview to help yourself recognize opportunities : draw down your unique needs, then check your actual resources and finally select your primary goals.
Many actors in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors had already highlighted their pervasive senses that are now more than likely influencing their business in the long term.
So what are you waiting for catching the social opportunity ?
It will involve the growth of your company, increase your reputation and generate more customers than ever before.
It will impact your profits.
It will stretch your mind.
